 BOULESHEET Newsletter

The Capital Petanque Club has a regular Newsletter called the BOULESHEET. It is written by me, Ivo Ostyn and is sent out electronically to all members and interested persons. The website will now become the official tool for forwarding information so the Boulesheet may well become less relevant however I will still create the odd one especially when special events such as the Lerida Cup comes along to prompt members with an 'in your face' reminder to take notice. You are welcome to add articles or if you want to sell things such as boules etc. then make full use of the Boulesheet. I often send copies of the Boulesheet to interstate clubs and the PFA to remind them that we 'exist' and take notice of us. The Boulesheet is basically the clubs banner! If you want to receive future issues of the Boulesheet or want to add an article then please contact me the editor on ivo.ostyn@gmail.com

Here is an example of the newsletter;

Petanque............

a simple game that can be enjoyed by everyone.

It takes only minutes to learn to play.

No expensive equipment, just 3 boules and you are ready to play.

A game but also a sport.

You don't have to be a supreme athlete to play Petanque well.

A social game where players become friends.

A family game where Mum and Dad can play with the kids.

Hours of fun.

A very pleasant pastime.

You can play all year round.

Expensive? not at all.

If you play it as a sport it can be challenging and demanding requiring skill, determination and perseverence.

It's always about having fun.

Some would say that playing Petanque with a glass of wine in one hand while throwing a boule with the other is regarded as good form..........
